Four inmates recaptured, five still loose after escaping from a Nakhon Pathom prison yesterday

Nakhon Pathom – Four out of nine male prisoners who had escaped from the Thung Noi temporary prison in Nakhon Pathom in the early hours of Saturday, December 11th, were recaptured within the day while the remaining escapees were being looked for in a large-scale manhunt by authorities.

 

The male inmates reportedly fled from military detention at around 2:30 A.M. after testing for Covid-19 health screening and waiting for transfer to the main prison, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Thanisorn Ekkarattanarat, the investigation chief of Sam Khwai Phuak police station.

 

Nine of them – six were facing drug charges, two were facing theft charges, and one was detained for alleged physical abuse.
