hello folks...just got a new one year, multi - entry, non - imm. 'O' from the consulate in Jeddah here in Saudi; copies of wife's PP and ID card, copy of marriage cert., one foto and 500 riyals...no muss nor fuss, nice buncha folks. Drop off am and pick up pm (normally the next day but they didn't look busy). I made sure they had a look at the 3 other non - imm 'O'. visas in my passport issued from other consulates in SEA and around the Gulf. Big smiles...highly recommended for any ob youse working in this area.

In the 'Remarks' box they typed 'Extension of stay not permitted.' where normally there would be a stamp to declare 'EMPLOYMENT PROHIBITED'. What does the consulate have to do with one year extensions that are handled by Thai immigration?

I'm confused...someone please interpret...

(nice folks??? smiling faces??? as I walked in the door there were probably giggles and whispering 'Look!...there's that guy they call tutsiwarrior...he thinks he's bad...let's mess wid his heid... :o )

just standard I have a couple that say that .... but if you want an extension all you have to do is qualify and apply when in Thailand

As said it is normal to put that statement of no extension - believe it is so that people who are used to the normal 30 day allowed extension on a tourist visa are warned they will not get this with a 90 day entry non immigrant entry.
