webfact
Former Bangkok Governor Bhichit Rattakul has decided to join former Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt’s team in his gubernatorial campaign. The former Democrat was in the company of Chadchart’s team today (Sunday), during a tour by boat along the Pitthayalongkorn Canal, to visit people in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Thian district and to study erosion caused by rising sea levels and garbage disposal problems. Praising Chadchart as a hard-working man, Bhichit told the media that he is pleased to work with the ex-transport minister, saying that he will share his previous experience, gained while he served as Bangkok governor over a decade ago. MRToMRT
Whilst Pichet was considered a great governor at the time (he could get things done) he was also, later, found guilty I believe for corruption and then that was over-turned at appeal but his private secretary got 5 years for the same corruption crime. Those dastardly private secretaries. Why does Thailand keep regurgitating the rich old elites (his father was PM). Because the voting populous are gluttons? Or because it's a closed game that new blood is engineered out of entering?
