Are Keurig coffee maker pods available in Thailand?

Thanks, I did try that.

I have found that online ordering is possible in Thailand through Ubuy.

But I was wondering if they were available in stores in Thailand.

I may be in left field - is it the actual loaded coffee pods you require?  In that case have no experience.  To us the Moccona we have used for the last 50 years is both cheap and good so no need.  Perhaps Starbucks sell and this comes up on search:

Lazada is the largest and most reliable online ordering source in Thailand; they or Shopee are the only two I use anymore so if just for canister they would be a good choice.

Yes, I am looking for the pods with the coffee in them.

I don't think Nespresso is compatible, but maybe.

I will check Lazada and Shopee, thanks for that advice.

But my real preference is to buy in a grocery store or a coffee specialty shop.

It seems like Lazada only has the reusable pods.

So not really what I want.

As very few will be using such a system not much chance in a 7-11 or grocery store I suspect - I did search a bit a decade or so ago after having at an upcountry hotel so expect they are available (although not sure of type) at a hotel service provider.  Also expect cost may be rather high if you do find.  It looks like you can make your own from the Lazada adds so that might be an option.

thanks!

I think that you have the answer there.

Not popular in Thailand so not available.

Popular here, I used to make fun of Keurig until I used my daughter's and it is really convenient, so I was thinking about gettin one.

It is kind of an extravagance (Keurig maker costs $90 and the coffee maker I use cost me $15 and have had it 15 years) but like 60 cents a coffee pod in the US.

The convenience just isn't there if loading the pods, it's just like using any drip coffee maker, maybe even harder to load the pods.

So I will just get something easy to use in Thailand.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Would Nespresso be an alternative?  Pods seems to be easily available but have no idea how good the coffee maker is.

This unit at 1,300 baht seems well rated so not much lost giving it a try.

Has the question not been answered yet?

(Cos going off topic)

I see this process as a way to make you pay more for your coffee.... and make more litter! Like when printers all went to cartridges.

I used to use a Saeco machine that ground the beans and made you a fresh cup, that tasted pretty good. Is this better? How much is one of these  'tinned' cups of coffee? I like the fresh stuff like Black Canyon make,

Its the convenience you pay for, i don't drink coffee but got a Nespresso machine with those expensive cups. It works if you just give them to guests once in a while otherwise i doubt its cost effective.

From my experience in the US, yes; Keurig is best but you may want to consider this nifty little machine:

https://shopee.co.th/เครื่องชงกาแฟแคปซูล-อัตโนมัติ-เอสเพรสโซ่ยี่ห้อ-Oggi-รุ่น-MC2-ใช้กาแฟแคปซูล-Nespresso-Dolce-Gusto-Capsule-POD-กาแฟบด-i.128243092.3126701977

I've had mine for 6 months now and am really enjoying it.

Via different adaptors, you can use one of many capsule systems as well as regular, loose ground coffee.

The machine ships with 3 adaptors: Nespresso, Dolce-Gusto and loose coffee.  Several others are available for about B300 each.

It's pretty quick and clean.  When I'm in a hurry, I drop in a Nespresso style capsule and within a minute have a steaming cup.  There is a choice between espresso style and a regular cup.

If I have more time, I measure out some of the special ground coffee I like to try from time to time, tamp it down (measure & tamper included) and again, within a minute have a nice, custom cup.

I buy nespresso style capsules from specialty growers in Chang Mai/Chang Rai via Lazada.  Usually works out to about B15 a capsule.

My only complaint is it's a bit leaky, especially if I overfill the ground coffee adaptor.  Other than that, very much worth the money, IMHO

Right, I was debating bringing a Keurig machine from the US if the pods were available in Thailand.

As others have observed, it isn't really a money-saving move anywhere to get a Keurig, it's convenience you pay for.

I used to scoff at Keurig machines until I had a chance to use one and found out how convenient they were.  I definitely like the convenience.

I loved mine.

The pods were cheap at Costco and Bargain Barn.

I gave it to a friend along with hundreds of pods.

look on Shoppee, they have a couple brands , K-cup  starbucks, Peets...    but really not much to choose from.  why not buy a Dolce Gusto machine ?  or if you want only black coffee a Nespresso machine

the coffee maker Keurig uses K-cups.  these that you see in the store are Nesspreeso or dolce gusto capsules , not compatible with Keurig. as the nesspresso capsules are not compatible with the dolce gusto machines,  it confused me at first as I am also shopping for one, decided on a Dolce Gusto machine as there is more variety.
