Well yes, I also recall someone who worked at a large condo complex who took deposits, and was offering special discounts if people paid up front. No condo and no agent when many arrived....I believe the building management tried to help folks out though as this was a legitimate employee, who did a runner. 'No Refunds' is a common sign in Thailand, but I too have managed to get a few, usually from Westerners though. -
