Measures planned to protect wild tigers in Thailand’s western forests

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and various environmental organisations have agreed to tighten up measures to protect wild tigers in the western forests of the country after two tigers were shot dead by suspected poachers early last month and a cattle herder was attacked by a tiger in Thong Pha Phum district of Kanchanaburi province.

MOPH says enough doses of Sinovac vaccine for small children and no need to procure more

BANGKOK (NNT) - With Sinovac’s inactivated vaccine for COVID-19 now undergoing the Food and Drug Administration’s approval process for use in children aged 3 and older, health authorities are asserting Thailand already has enough doses of the vaccine and no new orders are needed.

MOPH Confirms No Legal Obligations For People To Wear Face Masks

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Public Health Minister confirmed that there are no laws forcing people to wear face masks, but he also sought cooperation from all parties, including Thai citizens and overseas tourists, in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Thailand to discuss travel bubble agreement with neighboring countries

Three suspected insurgents killed by Thai security forces in Songkhla

Sniffer dogs deployed at Thai-Laos border to prevent smuggling of pork

Officials at Thailand’s Customs and Livestock Development departments recently deployed trained sniffer dogs to the Chong Mek border checkpoint in Sirindhorn district of the northeastern province of Ubon Ratchathani, to check all cargo trucks coming from the Lao PDR to prevent smuggling, especially of pork, amid the current high price crisis and ongoing swine outbreak.
