Hal65
My situation: - Nov 7 2021, Vol visa runs out. Applied/received Covid Visa - Jan 7 2022, New covid visa - Feb 3, 2022. Final 30 day extension to Mar 8. Someone here recommended applying right away for another Covid visa. Do you guys think I should? My concern is at Jomtien they often say "come tomorrow" unless it's the last day and then they're forced to take you right then.
DrJack54
Your covid extension was granted Jan 7 and currently that extension is valid till March 8. Your under consideration period was irrelevant. Normally you would apply coupe of weeks prior to expiry. Something like Feb 22 would be fine. Jack, The OP has stated here and on another thread that he was on a volunteer visa. Would he still get another covid ext? Dont want to muddy the waters as not sure of the status of volunteer visas. Thanks

Think he entered on visa exempt or tourist visa. I'm confused with the new wording of covid extensions. It seems that the immigration offices are interested in how you entered Thailand. I'm also surprised of recent lack of reports for covid extensions.. Think many are waiting on reports. Personally I find the new restrictions unreasonable. Borders open = No more covid extensions. Problem is they are not open.
at15
I got one for 1900 baht on 27 Jan with my covid extension expiring 25 Feb. They did a 15 day waiting period to get the actual stamp, i really dont like that. They said next time you go bangkok if you dont want to wait. So i think extension until 25 May likely. Then I would say 25 July questionable and 25 September doubtful.
Hal65
This was a couple years ago but I remember being on ED. I went to Ban Laem and paid 1,500 thb to "break" the ED visa. I returned. I think I was on tourist but don't remember. We waited 30 days. Then I think we applied for the Vol visa. I do remember I didn't have to leave the country specifically for that one. If this is true, I think I technically entered on a tourist visa.
Jack1988
It's not a covid visa first of all, it's just a temporary extension that obviously will not be given 4ever

FalangKino
Is there any actual evidence those who were on those visas but actually entered on a tourist visa initially can get another extension?
