Meditation Cushions

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a meditation cushion since I left mine in the US. I went to the shop at Wat Pathum Wanaram today and, while they had a couple, the choice was slim. Does anyone know of a place with a wide (wider) selection?

Thanks,

Bill

If you're not worried about the color then try Jatuchack (JJ) weekend market. Plenty of flat cushions available there.

scads of them all over! most markets .... most supply houses near temples etc

I bought mine near Wat Thammamongkut I think

I don't know what sort of cushion you're looking for, but by and large Thais who meditate, both monks and laypeople, tend to use flat, square cusions only a few centimetres thick. If you're looking for the bulbous round ones used in Japan and popular at meditation events throughout the west, you don't see them in Thailand very often.

Thanks for the responses.

Sabaijai - I have the zafu type so that's what I was thinking about. But, it looks like I'll have to consider alternatives.

Thanks,

Bill
