I contacted LMG for insurance.  I am a 66 year old American

they offered me a policy that seems bigger than necessary

The highlights of Health Long Stay VISA O-A is as follow:

• The health insurance policy provides coverage THB 3,500,000 (100,000 USD.)per policy per year for inpatient and THB 60,000 for Outpatient  per policy per year (2,000 THB per visit).
• Deductible starts from 300,000 THB* for Both IPD and OPD"

That has been reported before. You do not need the new insurance requirement until after September 1st when applying for a new extension of stay of a entry from a OA visa.
