webfact Posted March 5, 2022 Share Posted March 5, 2022 A 19-year-old Thai man was found dead on Thursday at a casino in Poipet, according to local media in Cambodia, who reported that the death may be linked to a housing scam. The man was working as a marketing assistant for the Crown Casino in Poipet and appears to have fallen from the 11th floor of a building in the Crown Casino compound. Investigators have already ruled out suicide, according to a police report. Indeed ... but a Thai - in Cambodia - is classed as "a foreigner" ... and no doubt more (and maybe different) paperwork to be filled out. (Maybe his family will get a bill for all their work, when they come to collect the body?) 2. We're told Cambodians flock to come work here, but, interestingly, this guy did it the other way around. 3. I thought land borders were closed for the last two years? ... did he start working there when he was 17? 4. Hard to see what skills a 19 year-old guy would have to support this international work. 5. Anyway, 19 years old is way too young to go ...
