New Thailand Pass and hotel

I apllied for Thailand Pass yesterday again and got confirmation today. I had booked hotel under the old rules for day 1 and 5 system.

Now hotel will not refund me the money of the  5th day und also would not give  me any other offer. It is not my fault that goverment changed the rules.

But i think 4000 Baht is a little much of pocket money for nothing.

You are right, it's a shame. But apparently the hotels are encouraged, not obliged, to refund or provide credit for that unnecessary 5th day stay & test.

why have you booked 1&5th days?

it's known from around 23.2 that from 1st March only 1st night needed.

First time i applied before 23.02. but never got an answer, i tried once more same game. S0 yesterday i tried again but needed an new confirmation from the hotel with only the 1st day. I got this confirmatiion and with the same mail they told me they do not refund 5th day.

That sucks. Is it not best to just go with Agoda knowing that you'll be refunded?
