Now, for a bit of a look at a local beach that, although not as popular as Jomtien or Koh Larn Beaches, has its own charm.

Wong Amat Beach in Naklua

 

 

can we have the water tested, I suspect it would not reach anyting close to western standards and would be fagged "red" as not safe ............but if you don't test then nobody knows

Certainly was "a bit".......for people who have never been there I suggest they would not get much of an idea from that video.

Quite, and only one aspect.

A friend of mine some time ago bought a condo "off plan", by the time it was built the area had been invaded by Russians and had become quite dangerous, something that may improve now.

He has tried to sell it without much success.

Maybe one day it will sink in, you cannot get western standards at Thai prices.

One has to assume you would rather see a 3000 baht tourist tax to get the water tested, the Thais are certainly not bothered.

Then of course there is the cost of cleaning the water to keep you happy,  an exit tax as well as an entry tax?
