Procedure of Test and Go 5th day Antigen test

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

Can anyone tell me what the procedure is after doing the first day hotel quarantine, what happens on day five regarding the Antigen test?

Is the test supplied in the total cost and where and how is it administered and also how the results are recorded?

Thank you in advance

I recently arrived. I was given the ATK test for day 5 by the hotel. No instructions to report the result anywhere.

I don't have any apps installed either. When I arrived on ASQ last year i was instructed to download 2 different tracking apps i believe. No such thing now.

My wife just returned on Test n Go.

On checkout was given an ATK  test for day 5 (free).

Inside the instruction paper says to upload the result to Morchana, but if unable, email a photo of it to the hotel you stayed in.

Did that, and never heard again.

(The ATK test was negative )

The more pressing issue is getting the refund for the Day 5!

For me......

Check in before midday on the 5th day..

Called up at about 1400 to go to the roof of the hotel.

PCR swabbed.

Phone call next morning about 0800......all clear.

PCR on day 5? you must have been with the old rules prior to March 1.

Now it's ATK on day 5, self-administered and self-reported.

My Morchana app shows orange with perpetually turning circle. Morchana Helpline told me to keep photo from 5th day test if upload not possible,

My app has been showing the same. Morchana call centre, told me to call test and go hotel. Called them and they said would get back to me (they never).
Just checked the notifications in the app again this afternoon and low and behold, it’s showing messages for the last 5 days (been blank until now), telling me to click a link. Done so and it asked me for a lab number and a release date. No idea what the lab number is for an ATK test so I just put my phone number and the date I done my ATK test where it says release date.

Uploaded the photo of the ATK test in to the link and submitted it.
Checked the main page on Morchana and now it’s green.

Its really simple....

Upon checkin to the Test & Go (Day 1 hotel) you are given an ATK.

The hotel staff ensure you have the Mor Chana App on your smart phone.

On Day 5 you take the ATK.

On Day 5 you should get a notification to your Mor Chana App.

You open the link and upload your ATK details there.

IF you don’t receive a notification on your Mor Chana app don’t worry about it... (Mor Chana doesn’t work properly).

Send the Photo of the ATK to your Day 1 T&G hotel and forget about it !!!

Then disable the app which uses up your battery !!!

IF you don’t have a smart phone - just e-mail them the photo of the ATK on day five and forget about it !!!

i did go to the hotel i stayed in and they have no idea. they said they have nothing to do

with it,. so it looks again like a SAVE FACE solution: some high rank officials understood

how stupid is the 5th day test, but their EGO did not allow them to cancell it completly.

however i will report it to my credit card company, just for the heck of it

The gov't took a soft(=ambiguous) approach on the matter of the refunds. It encouraged hotels to refund, or give an equivalent credit, when possible. But did not go as far as saying they must refund. So basically hotels can do what they want. Some lucky ones got their refund, some others didn't.

hotels have nothing to do with the refund.

the PCR tests are paid on the PSAS site and that is where

you ask for the refund.

but when i did it i got the message blah blah.

you might be confused with the hotel 5-6 days booking for the result of the second PCR test. but i am talking about a refund for the PCR test itself, 2100 baht, that

was promised to me in the airport.

That is the procedure for Phuket. In BKK however the tests are included in the hotel package. I was completely refunded for my day 5.

In Phuket the SHA+ Extra hotel told me the first day PCR test is done on arrival at airport and booked via PSAS website, nothing to do with them, the ATK test they said I can do on my own kit (I have many from UK NHS) and they don't have it and again nothing to do with them...!

Only that if I book one night with Agoda , I need to book taxi to hotel direct with them and not via Agoda, that won't be accepted for Thai Pass application...!?!?

So much for Extra+, not much they do differently for Thai Pass...!

Sorry to hear your woes.

My wife just returned, and everything arranged by the hotel (Novotel) in Pathum Thani.

Airport pickup,  direct to partner hospital for PCR test then to the hotel.

Everything, including breakfast, included.....as detailed on their website before booking.

PCR result available early the next morning.

Refund for "day 5" no problems.
