Move Forward party-list MP Rangsiman Rome reported to the Bang Khun Non police this morning (Friday), to acknowledge a criminal defamation charge filed against him in connection with claims he made about Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan and the Five Provinces Bordering Forest Preservation Foundation in 2020.

Rangsiman, who is also deputy secretary-general of Thailand’s Move Forward party, told the media at the police station that he had assigned his lawyer, Krisadang Nutcharat from the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR), to explain to the police why he had failed to respond to the police summonses on two previous occasions.

He reiterated today that the police attempt to have him arrested and detained was part of an effort to have him disqualified and stripped of his parliamentary status.

When will all this end and we get a fair fight?  Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll be any time soon with those in Charge.

Change will never come about until there is thorough cleansing.

One that needs to be enacted by revolution through the greater population.

Been there done that.

Let us know how the 100 year anniversary of the Siamese Revolution of 1932 planning is going.

Technically, '32 was little more than the same old power controlling.

Nothing popular or revolutionary about that period.

Though, such is repeated over and again that this event has become a mainstay of historic propaganda.

Most are taken in by it.

The charges are as follows:

1. You are showing insufficient featly to the leaders here, and the ruling party.

2. You dare to criticize us. That cannot, and will not be permitted. Though we do represent ourselves as a democracy, we do not enjoy following the laws and customs of a democratic society. So, why should we?

3. You have accused Prawit of impropriety. Don't you realize that cannot be done? Don't you realize we are above any and all laws of the land?

4. Be quite and meek. Otherwise, you will be punished. Yes, we have an opposition party, but we sure hate it when they genuinely oppose us. Did you not learn anything from the "Thanathorn lesson?

The people have to make a statement, the people have to remove the 250 crony senators, and the people have to find a way to turn this nation around, and drag it back from the stone age of dinosaur leadership.

Prayuth, Prawit, Anutin, Phiphat, and the mafia chief Prompow must go. These guys are toxic, corrosive, corrupt, ineffective, incompetent, untrustworthy, very bad for the nation, and virtually assure a rotten future for the nation, a drop to 75th place in GDP, and increasing irrelevance. They have already turned Thailand from the tiger of SE Asia, to a sorry, rabid, whiny, disease infested, anemic alley cat.

he walked free, because prosecutor refused to accept police report as incomplete.

More in yesterday's article in bangkok post "Move Forward MP threatens to sue over case flaws".

Even more interesting reading in today's

"MFP MP charged for accusing deputy PM of selling political influence"

"After turning himself in, Rangsiman was taken to the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office at Taling Chan. Following his meeting with the prosecutor, Rangsiman reported that the prosecutor deemed the police investigation report incomplete and refused to accept it.  He was not immediately detained but the police plan to summon him again for further investigation on 31 March."
