What a numpty. That will cost a lot more than 1,750 baht to repair those 3 vehicles to roadworthy condition, let alone the contents of the wrecked truck and the drivers injuries. The taxi driver must have known that he did not have enough money to refuel before he set out. -

Pattaya bar girl scams 10 million baht from South Korean man
I once turned the tables on a scammer and told her I was rich but dying of cancer. She started calling me in America every day and telling me she loved me and would come and take care of me. Then I pretended to die, pretended to be my lawyer and sent her a fake photoshop check which said things like First Fake National Bank of America and In Fraud We Trust, and along the bottom with the numbers it said "000000fakecheckfakecheckhahahahah00000". She ran around Bangkok trying to cash it (she was stupid) and when she was told it was just a copy and needed the original she believed it and contacted Attorney Greg and thats when I told her it was all a ruse to teach her a lesson not to scam any more. At first thought I was another scammer until I convinced her that I was all one and the same person and that I had done it to teach her a lesson. She may or may not have learned, but she said she repented and we chatted for a while afterward. She had even sent me her Thai ID so I could cut the "check" . The name was her married name and I asked about it, she said she was divorced and got upset and didn't want to talk about it. So she probably had an abusive husband and a horrible divorce and (maybe) left with no money and resorted to this as a result. MAYBE. She kept me posted on her job search and eventually got one at a hotel, so she said. Pretty odd story though, but that's how I roll. I know the language of scammers, I've heard them all. Happy holidays folks, and may you never be scammed. -

The New "subscription business model": Have you completely succumbed to it yet?
That is your personal opinion. Some software will not function on anything but a MS OS. Been using for research since the 80’s and still use it without any problems. Your Linux is limited and cannot come close to being able to handle the cross platform software I’ve used. Just use what works best for you, no sense in hyping up or cutting down, it appears to have a lack of understanding. -

The New "subscription business model": Have you completely succumbed to it yet?
In my past life I have never paid a subscription online to anything. And in my future life I never will. If anything demands subscription I just do without it. Of more concern to me is the free apps which are becoming more and more invasive. The model now is not to tempt the viewer with useful ad-ons but to irritate the life out of us with longer and longer unstoppable ads until we relent. That and re-directs that take you to another site like Lazada. I've ditched so many apps recently. -
