Thai Rath reported on the aftermath of a violent summer storm in Rayong province in the central east of Thailand.

Heavy rain and winds with hail came with the storm that some residents cited as unusually severe.

Thai Rath's video showed roofs off, trees uprooted, masonry and plasterboard downed and cars crushed by fallen parking roofs.

In addition some cows looked bewildered though there was some handy pointing to help with the location of the damage.

Up to 40 properties were damaged in the storm yesterday.

Love this headline: "many houses hit "after" freak summer storm"

Glad the storm itself didn't hit or smack them around, could have done real damage.

Apparently more of the same on the way this afternoon!

Less damage will occur as the flimsy structures are removed by nature.

First time comment.   Our friends house had their roof partially ripped off and it wasn't aluminum!  Another neighbor lost their whole roof that was aluminum and wind damaged other structures East of Map Tha Phut.  My family and I live in Rayong but are away for 5 days.  Still haven't heard back from others living around Rayong.  Hope everyone is OK.

Certainly no high winds nor hailstones around here to the east of Rayong City - must have been a localised event.
