MANILA, Philippines (Updated 2:52 p.m.)— Labor leader Leody De Guzman has laid out his 10-point plan for overseas Filipino workers and their families, which include forming a quick response team for migrant workers in Philippine posts abroad.

 

In a Facebook post on Tuesday evening, the Partido Lakas ng Masa presidential bet also said he will go after illegal recruitment agencies and syndicates as well as expanding and improving the current programs and services afforded to OFWs.

 

Looking after migrant workers

 

De Guzman wants to ensure that employers and employment agencies of OFWs stranded due to the pandemic will continue to abide by their contracts and that the compensation of overseas workers will continue to be paid in full.
