Nakhon Sri Thammarat - What To See And Do?

Featured Replies

Hello,

We're a new farang couple living and working in Thung Song. We've been to Nakhon a few times now to go shopping at Tesco and CarreFour and take care of paperwork with Immigration, but what else is there to see and do?

We're also curious if there's a DairyQueen in town? We miss going for an Oleo Blizzard!

Go to Rock 99 on a Fri or Sat night and mix with the local expats. A good bunch, they'll sort you out.

Chok dii!

It isn't much of a tourist place of course, but if you have a car there's lots to see as far as nature goes.

In town, there's Wat Phra That, we have a small zoo and an aviary at Talad park, it's a nice park, you can go on the peddle boats.

You can go to the Saturday/Sunday morning market not far from Robinson Ocean.

there's an evening market near Hua Hit (I sometimes go on Saturday evenings, around 5pm)

Some live music around, (the bar Country home is fun but plenty others in town)

and if you want a taste of western entertainment, check out the Murder Mystery dinner theatre evening I am organising at the Twin Lotus on July 26th, tickets are 250 baht and include the European set meal and the entertainment.
