Sacred Cow Stolen And Rescued By Police

Featured Replies

A missing sacred Hindubrasil cow was reported to the Pattaya Police by its owner, Mr. Samran Deeden, aged 54.

On 18th June at around 3am a number of men in a pickup truck came into his property at Soi Chaiyapruek 4 and stole the cow.T

he police discovered that the thieves and the cow were on Sukhumvit Road heading for Chonburi.

It wasn’t long when the police caught up with them in Soi Nongprue near the Crocodile Farm. When the thieves saw the police they decided to drop the cow off the truck near the railway track and fled.

The police assisted the frightened cow which had been tied up with a rope and was bleeding from the wounds and scratches from being thrown off the truck and then contacted the owner.

Mr. Samran stated that he has 18 breeder cows, which he bought for 35,000 Baht each. That day he left them out in the field and went to get something to eat. When he returned he noticed a truck parked there and when he looked over he saw one of his cows in the back of the truck.

The thieves used an electric shock gun to stun the cow and then tied it up before putting it in the back of the pickup.

The police are still searching for the thieves that managed to get away into Soi Nongprue since there are many shortcuts there that lead out to different roads.

How strange. Poor cow, thinking it's got life sorted - no abatoir and a life of adoration and veneration then wham! It's stolen. Hope it makes a full recovery it's not a lot of fun being thrown from a truck.
