Rent-A-Ticket.... Qantas.... One Way Ticket - Report

Wished to give back a little here...

 

Recently travelled on Qantas from Auckland  > Sydney  > Bangkok on a One Way Ticket.

 

I had pre-purchased a Rent-A-Ticket from OnwardTicket.com

 

At check in there was nothing said about you are one a one way ticket \ only 30 Day Visa Waiver on Arrival stamp.

 

So was it wasted $$'s purchasing the Rent-A-Ticket?   Answer = No.....  because I was prepared and that bought peace of mind.

Were you entering Thailand visa exempt or with a visa? The onward flight is only a requirement if entering visa exempt.

Usually they're a bunch of overly officious sods at check-in at Auckland Airport. Maybe the pandemic has chilled them a bit.

Answered your own question… Peace of mind, and it’s just a few bucks. There was every chance you could’ve been asked if you didn’t have a visa.

I entered last week on a visa exempt without a onward flight ,nor was I asked anything about such ,or proof of funds / address etc

The onward flight is not for immigration upon arrival.

It can be required by airline at departure to issue boarding pass.

Was not asked for from the airline that you flew with.
