We can also manage to tour Thailand on our crf’s, but We choose to put our bikes on the pick up for longer transports out of convinient purposes. Cherry picking you can call it, and he is saving his ass and time for almost 1900km?

I rode up to CM to CR followed the big river passing Nong Khai and followed the border road with Laos and Cambodia to part way to down South Thailand cut across back to Sukhothai on a CRF250 we were gone for just over 2 weeks. Yes you can do it once, and next time, you go somewhere else continue from where you turned around. There is very few places I return back to more than once, but some few places is worth it. Off road I like to play in one area, instead of cruising. My destinations during covid, on and off roads.

papa al
Off to a ruff start. The prequel. After morning mountain ride, took DaisyDuke to the shop on 3rd rd. hoping to get new spark plug. 18,500km, original, prolly Per YT, it is difficult/crowded/ but possible with simple plug-wrench. But they cannot. Discovered slack bearings on rear wheel so they changed those. Adjust, oil chain. Set tires to 30psi. B200 +tip. 5 5 Stay tuned for part, 2.

papa al
X-ferred the 30-liter Givi from ceeber to DaisyDuke. The bolts holding the plastic plate to the carrier hadn't been removed in 8-years so they put up a fight.

A Thai man in pick-up truck stopped to see if okay. 5 5

Also asked at Mango rentals who have a big under-building space.. Rented from them before. Young Thai manager 'Ten' called farang overseas owner, but guy said no. So rode her home. Got soaked on the mountain pass, R12. ////////////////// KTM 200cc Left w/ ~1000 km. on the Amzoil, from local riding. Returned from N w/ like 3000 more. Oil level still fine. Never added any. Took 0.8 liter along in box, but untouched. Cruised at 100-120 kpm. The speedo is accurate. ///// Will take Lifan next time. Maybe some unpaved roads. Popular Post papa al
So decided: papa’s days of riding from S to N are over. Patty to CR is like 3 days. So flying to CR next time. and will rent a bike. Fuel, lodging, 2000km. wear and tear, Flying is, safer, faster, cheaper. Like 1800baht. r/t. out of BKK. Rental CB150, Exciter, even Wave125 be fine. on the little roads pap's firsts ever Thai m/c experience was a Wave 3-day rental out of MHS. Nearly wrecked it an hour before returning it to rental. 5 5 Edited June 29, 2022 by papa al
