National Disaster Warning Center organizes evacuation drill on July 25th

The National Disaster Warning Center is preparing to conduct natural disaster emergency drills in 99 areas on July 25th.

The Director General of the Meteorological Department, and Interim Director of the National Disaster Warning Center Mr. Suparik Thansrirattanawong (ศุภฤกษ์ ตันศรีรัตนวงค์) affirms the readiness of the National Disaster Warning Center in conducting emergency drills in the 6 Andaman coastline provinces on July 25th from 9:30-10:30. The Public Relations Department will be reporting in Thai and English on the drill in order to avoid causing panic among local residents and tourists.

Mr. Suparik reports that the emergency evacuation drill will be a joint collaboration between the National Disaster Warning Center and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, as well as provincial and local administrative organizations.
