Opposition submits motion to censure PM, 10 other ministers

Thailand’s opposition submitted a motion to House Speaker Chuan Leekpai today (Wednesday), to censure Prime Minister Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and ten of his ministers, with the debate tentatively scheduled for July 18th to 22nd.

 

The motion was seconded by 182 opposition MPs.

 

In the motion, the opposition accuses the prime minister of the mismanagement of state affairs, violations of the Constitution and laws regarding ethical standards, negligence in the performance of his duties, allowing rampant corruption to take place, failure to implement policies stated in parliament, violations of human rights and the undermining of parliamentary democracy.

what is the point - nobody voted for him to be PM (Thai Public) and the same goes for the rest of the DPM's - who (THai Public) voted for them  ????????

The people can vote all they want but you will still end up with these uneducated @@ who will just appoint themselves - Demacracy Thai style - I think the same happens in Russian and a lot of countries that claim they let the public vote ..................................but it means absolutely nothing , if I was Thai I would be very angry

 

nobody should be running this country unless the Thai people directly voted for them - UK PM cannot be in No10 unless the people put him there - if he loses his seat Bye BYe 

 

the so called demacracy in Thailand is a complete joke - what will change it - I dred to think but it needs to happen

This is good. It is likely everything he is being accused of is true. Call him out. Stop the leadership charade. Cha Cha is not a real leader.

if I remember correctly it's the 3rd time they call for a confidence vote and all 3 times he won, it's like a bad cold, hard to get rid off, there's no win situation as he imposed a win win  " The result was no surprise, as the ruling coalition holds a majority in the lower house"
