Speeding Pickup Hits Women On Second Road

At 3.30 am on 19th June the Pattaya Police were informed of an accident that occurred on Pattaya 2nd Road near the Royal Garden Plaza and there were injured people at the scene.

On arrival the police found a small Nissan NV pickup truck and the driver, Mrs. Dusitta, aged 43, who was in a drunken condition waiting for the police. Next to the truck were a damaged motorbike and sidecar and its rider, Mrs. Prachuab, aged 48, who was injured. The Sawang Rescuers quickly gave her first aid and then took her to the hospital.

It was found that before the truck had hit the sidecar, it had already hit 28 year old Miss Sukanya who was riding a Honda Wave. She was badly injured and was taken to the hospital by members of the public before the team arrived.

Dusitta was taken to Pattaya Police Station first and will be questioned after she sobers up. She must be responsible for the motorbikes’ damages and injured people’s medical expenses, and charged for drunk driving and carelessness.
