Government Launches All-in-One App to Enhance Public Services

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Thai government has launched an all-in-one mobile application to provide services and act as an online channel for receiving public complaints and suggestions.

 

Anucha Nakasai, Minister attached to the Office of the Prime Minister, and General Akanit Muensawat, Chairman of the State Administration Commission, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 12 for the launch of the so-called “Tang Raat” app (Government Application).

 

The mobile application was created by experts and staff from seven government agencies, including the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Ministry of Interior, the Office of the Permanent Secretary, the Public Sector Development Commission, the Public Relations Department, the Office of the Consumer Protection Board, and the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization).

 

The application, which is integrated with a One Stop Service function, enables users to directly contact the Dumrongtham center in their respective provinces or its hotline 1111 to lodge complaints. In addition, users have the option of contacting the Office of the Consumer Protection Board, receiving various government services via a citizen portal website at www.info.go.th, paying their bills, and obtaining vital information regarding their benefits.

 

According to Anucha, the mobile application is a component of the 20-year national strategy (2018 - 2037) to provide all Thais with essential government services through the One Stop Service (OSS) network.

 

General Akanit, speaking in his capacity as a senator, stated that the launch of the "State Application" demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving its services and making them easily accessible to the public. He added that such a campaign enables the comprehensive and seamless delivery of all government services to the public, as well as the realization of Thailand’s digital government that is prepared for a post-pandemic world and future challenges.

Apart from Thailand now becoming the hub of apps can anyone explain the difference in the TOR (Terms of Reference) between theese two?

PS;  Too many digits appear to be in too many Goverment pies as usual!

I bet that this “Tang Raat” app will no longer be operational in 2037.

The number of complaints will cause it to crash.  Thais don't listen to advice (particularly from farangs) as they know it all.
