This site was my first source of information when I started my plan in April. The insurance and my pension are not the problem. BTW, I am not nearly dead ????

My question to the embassies in Berlin and Frankfurt was, if I were to do a single entry visa for 3 month, whether I could extend it in Thailand for further 3 month. And for this question I didn't get any clear answer yet.
 

I want do a single entry Visa, coz I only need 3 more additional month, and no full year. Also is a single just 75,- Euro and a multiple 175,- Euro. Also a TR Visa with multiple entries is 175,- Euro and you need to do 2 Visa-Runs, with the Non O-Visa just 1.
 

So ridiculous... just a simple question but no clear answer at all.

The U.K. Thai embassy issues a Non-O immigration a multi entrant visa.

 

The embassy does not list that that list on their list of visas available.

 

How more specific do you need. I can speculate, but then you can ask.

 

If you want to be more specific then you are welcome to ask.
 

It it quite likely that a politely request will satisfy your curiosity.

No you can not.

 

There are various options. The obvious one is a AETV that can be extended by 30 days. You will need this in a nearby country

You got an answer several posts ago.

The only extension possible for a 90 day non-o visa entry is for 12 months. There is no 3 month extension available for any non immigrant visa without a valid reason such as attending school or volunteer work.

What the embassy lists is irrelevant, the only thing that counts is what options are available on the dropdown and what is asked for on the 4th page. I can assure you the ME button was greyed out on my application.

Many get a bit of a shock when they see about 3 requirements listed on the website and then come across about 13 items to deal with on page 4.

You have the option to expand your knowledge. It would seem that this is not of interest to you.

I read as to mean you did not get a anwer on the this topic.

Embassies (Berlin) and official consulates (Frankfurt) are not a good source for info about what can be done at immigration here.

You need to understand there are 2 completely different bodies involved here.

 

There is the  Ministry of foreign affairs and Royal Thai Police, the MOF is involved with issuing visas, the RTP permission to stay in the country. 
 

Do not expect that things will always go as expected. TIT YMMV  understand to always expect the unexpected in Thailand, then you can never be surprised

Exactly, there are many on here that will answer what they think has been posted. Can't be bothered to read what has actually been posted.

Absolutely nothing to do with what the poster had mentioned.

You have the means to enquire further.

There are no multi entry Non-O visas listed on the website. 
It may come as a surprise to you, I aware of the different criteria. I have repeatedly confirmed it is a Non-O multi entry.

You either want to know more, in which case you can go to the source, or you do not.

If you can get a Non-O in Germany and possible Multiple entry, get it.  Fort single entry, you have to extend it to stay in Thailand for more than three month. For multiple entry no need to extend. Just leave the country every three months and enter. Extend it  inside Thailand for one year only for single entry. If you don't want to keep 800K in a Thai bank, you can hire an agent (in Pattaya for 15K) who can extend the Non-O for 15K without money in the bank. So, it will be 15K every year and no need for 800K in a Thai bank. That option helps lots of people who are not fortunate enough to  be born in a Western Country to earn dollars and it helps you also by giving you permission to stay in Thailand without any required money in the bank or paper hasle at the immigration. 

 

Finally got my Visa today after waiting 25 days...

Sorry, I forgot to ask: Did you need insurance?

Yes, I needed a health insurance. I also had to make the insurance for a full year, and not just for the 6 months I will be staying in Thailand. And in the "Confirmation of Insurance", which is needed in english or thai language, must be written:
• min. 40,000 THB (or €1,300) outpatient 
• min. 400,000 THB (or €13,000)  inpatient 
Important are the words outpatient and inpatient! I didn't have them in there at first, because my insurance has unlimited coverage. So it took 2 weeks, until the consulate called me and said, that they want to see those 2 words... Ridiculous!

As of October 1st 45 days will be the norm upon entry.

Why not take the 45 day free entry then extend for another 45 days.

The do a in and out border hop and get another 45 day entry and extend again.

Total 180 days with only one border hop and no insurance required.

Just an idea...!!!!!

Extensions will remain at 30 days.

or do your allowed second land border bounce and get 225 days.

I prefer the 1 year visa. Is more comfortable and I can go to Thailand in Summer again. An Insurance I do anyway and the overpaid 6 month I will get back, when I am in Germany again. So I have the money right away for the next trip ????

You are permitted 2 land border entries visa exempt per calendar year.

So in your example of fly into Thailand visa exempt and two border runs it would be (from Oct 1) 

45+30+45+30+45+30= 225.
