Kawazaki 650R 2009 91 or 95 gssohol

Recommended Posts

Any modification of the exhaust has the potential to increase popping because it changes the backpressure. How much? Hard to say.

@ozimoronthat link talks about which engines are E10 compatible but that's not the question. Both 91 and 95 gasohol are E10.

They had lunch when I went there. Will go earlier tmrw. But mine pops really often. As soon as I roll off the gas it basically pops. I do think the previous owner did drill the exhaust not sure if that affects popping and afterburn though?

Popping I take it you mean backfiring as in the trade call it. ????

As I said backfiring is fuel related it is a electronic CDI fuel injected bike.

A computer analysis plug up will go all through the settings of the fuel system and timing and adjust or find what is up.

Mainly it's lean fuel problem or the exhaust sensor but other things could cause it without seeing it myself I can't guess.
