Man held for questioning after undocumented migrant workers die in road accident

Police in Thailand’s southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat are holding a Thai man for questioning, to try to establish his connection with a human trafficking gang responsible for smuggling 32 undocumented migrant workers from Myanmar, four of whom were killed and four others injured in a fatal road accident in the province yesterday (Wednesday).

Bangkok governor joins C40 on climate action

Free vaccination service at Bang Sue Grand Station extended until end of September

Thailand’s largest vaccination centre, at Bangkok’s Bang Sue Grand Station, will continue to provide a free COVID-19 inoculation service to the public until the end of September, instead of the end of this month as earlier announced.

 TAT to Propose Visa Extension for Tourists

BANGKOK, Aug 18 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand will propose to the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration tomorrow (Aug 19) to extend the maximum stays for holders of tourist visas and visas on arrival to encourage them to stay longer in the country.

More than four million foreign tourists have arrived since January, TAT reports

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on Wednesday, August 17th, reported that the total number of foreign tourists arriving in Thailand has reached four million since the full country reopening on January 1st.

Kuwaiti man racing motorbikes with foreigners crashes in a pickup truck

A Kuwaiti motorbike racer driving in a group of four other foreigners crashed into a stationary pickup truck in Pattaya and suffered several injuries. Nobody, however, reportedly cooperated with the police, so all five bikes were impounded.
