Thai police are using cargo containers, razor wire and steel barricades to block traffic at Chamaimaruchet and Makkhawan Rangsan bridges today (Tuesday) to prevent protesters from getting close to Government House.

The protesters, led by Jatuporn Prompan and Nittitorn Lumlua, are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, contending that his eight-year term in office is due to end by August 24th.

Protesters started gathering this morning at the Lan Khon Mueang (town square), in front of the old City Hall. A stage has been set up and sound system installed for protest leaders to address the crowd.

I really hope that tomorrow (if the court rules in favor of Prayuth most likely) the protesters will not start to fight. That would only give the military a reason to intervene and a reason for another coup and than everything has to start from the beginning again. But I would use as they call it now the soft power  mass gatherings, and so but prevent the army to intervene....

The brave general cowers behind razor wire afraid of those he has brought so much happiness to?

The only happiness has been from the medical profession and certain hotels during the lock down.

Oh! and a certain AN/TV poster with a certain avatar. :drunk::cheesy: :cheesy:

The fact that today is the 24th and no decision has been made speaks volumes..

Prayut intends to stay and challenges the constitution to evict him.

If they don't the people should !

Jatuporn

Good to know where he will be at that time. Lock him up!

We don't want another 2010!

No red-shirts - no problems. Lock them all up!
