"Tomato flu not yet in Thailand ...." ... but it will probably ketch up!  ????

  • First, they have to identify the sauce of the outbreak ! ????

  • Or which of the 57 varieties it might be? Heinz-site might help in identifying the sauce of that first variety.

Thailand "does not regard the disease as a matter of domestic concern."

What a complete non-story.

You forgot :

“We don’t know exactly what’s causing the disease,” admitted Robert Glatter, MD, an ER physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. --- What about ????

Thailand is closely monitoring the tomato flu

Sure hope they never have an issue with leeks !

Looks like so far they have not identified what it is.  Best guess at this time seems to be a variant of hand, foot, and mouth disease.

Maybe you are thinking of Plum flu. No cases as yet but watch out if you find poor quality Plums.

So tomato flu is nothing to do with tomatoes - that's going to confuse a lot of people, lol...

Just sprinkle some 5-30-20 fertilizer around the plant and water.  Bob's your uncle!  ????

I eat lots of tomatoes does this mean I'm going to get sick and die ??!!! ...hahaha ????????????????

Here we go again, the never ending saga! The money all of this scare mongering has generated / cost / turned over must be almost the GDP of the country - Probably better we just commit suicide now and be done with it!

Seriously? Is it ever going to stop? Governments like us on our toes so much so as soon as more and more people got to terms with COVID and are not as afraid as they were 2 years ago they started throwing new diseases on is. The monkey flu didn't catch nicely so now there's tomato flu, then will come cucumber, onion, garlic and the whole damn salad. Once they finish our food they'll probably come up with car flu, airplane flu and maybe their far old sister flu.

We've been around for over 100k years and our number keeps growing. <deleted> - there are about 8 billion of us now.

Does no one else think that this Opart guy is a dead ringer for Curly Watts of the UK's Coronation Street TV soap?

Is there no one else but me who thinks that since the last C virus we are going to keep getting threatened with this virus and that virus from the medical profession from now until eternity.

I have put all my tomatoes in isolated quarantine., i feel so much safer now.

Just hope that there arent 57 Varieties

I'm more worried about my onions developing pneumonia...

Of course, you all know it has nothing to do with tomato's, right?

What is next, Giraffe flu? Garbanzo flu? Pomelo flu? Please. Does it seem as of the world has become obsessed with the flu?

Of course you do know that this is an AN forum, where off topic comments are the most popular and members tend to hypothesis, envisage, foretell and make irrelevant comments.
