Not everybody will be disappointed.

When I first read the headline I though probably he prefers to be rich and not dead.

Because I imagine, without evidence, that it is a dangerous job to fight corruption in this country. Too many rich and powerful people are the enemies.

Correct. Get killed if too honest. Honest people arent suited to business or gov.

You have to be half crooked or worse.

Honest people sell noodles for 40 baht.

Deputy secretary-general of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Prayad Puangchampa, was dismissed from service today (Monday), after he was found to be unusually wealthy by amassing 658 million baht in assets, many of which are being kept abroad

????

The bar here just keeps getting lower and lower.

Is it not the deputy's task to take care that the corruption is running?  8-))))))

The NACC faulted Prayad for allegedly deliberately concealing his assets by providing false statements about six of them when he assumed the post as deputy secretary-general on January 4th, 2017.

Tip of a huge iceberg - lets get all the top ministers in government to declare their assets and especially "increase" in wealth over the last 3 years, now that would be an interesting read,

Also, how about tracing where exacly the money Prayad accumulated actually came from - another interesting read

Top ministers - PM's and deputies don't have to declare because they have nothing to hide ...... right :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

SO DECLARE THEN what are you hiding

At least they are on to these people, and I reckon there are a lot of bum burps going on out there.

Let's hope they find out where all that money came from and take it away......????

quite sure he's not alone, they should look at ALL of the government's people and they would be surprised by the findings.... he's just a drop in the ocean of corruption here... why not start at the top of the pyramid ?  it would save time

Yep, like they say Who's watching the dog who's watching the Watchdog.

Looks like Someone was Watching this dog.  ????

As so many are he was too selfish and forgot to share with those around him. Big mistake.

Nobody will be surprised, but everyone will be disappointed.

Not everybody will be disappointed, because the guy who will take his place is probably already licking his chops and opening several off shore bank accounts to hide all the money he’s going to steal.

How much did his Mia Noy/s, girl friends, hostesses and 5 star massage girls get? Any photos out there on social media with him partying with cronies enjoying the good life?

I'm disappointed that he does not have an exotic name: May I suggest 'Big Wad'

I hear Montenegro is nice this time of the year, and Dubai is a good place to winter.

I’d like to see the job description when he applied for the position.
The world is your oyster your application has been accepted.

Well no surprise here, more Government officials should be investigated,  and certainly the top 10..

It should also be worth checking all the corruption cases he has worked on in the past. He must have gotten the 658 million for treating one or the other case "benevolently".

I suggest a look under the office carpet!

He obviously takes his position seriously and works a lot of overtime
