The people have the government they deserve.

Suck it up.

Generally, Thai people get the government they deserve?

Or a "sleeping partner"????

As the Country begins to recover and see's Tourism recover slowly the old Scams are returning along with the Tourists. Another site that I won't name has a few threads running with the CEO of Air Asia questioning the proposed Tourism Tax on flights and even a proposal from the Director General of Revenue Mr Ekniti Nitihanrapas proposing an Alcohol Tax on Non-Alcoholic Drinks plus the old Welcome back where's your Tbt 300 for entering lol. The Tourist Lemon is about to be squeezed i feel, or plainly how much can we extract cash from incoming tourists. What next a Tax on water because its used for brewing Alcohol?

Some times they get the government that they voted for, even twice in a row, and then along comes the military to stage a coup.

Then the Thai people get what the military want to give them and not what they want or voted for as happened the last time when the military won by openly cheating,

IMHO is that when the next election comes along the military won't be able to cheat so easily, nor will the EC and the other agencies, nor the bottom feeding minnow parties.

Besides more of the dinosaurs and the ultra royalists will be dying off and the younger, smarter generations will be taking over, then hopefully Thailand and the Thai people will have a better and brighter future.

There were sleeper cells during the cold war. Guess this one got forgotten.

Unfortunately, not in this lifetime. They, the Thai people never have / had the desire to change things. Look what happened in Europe in the late 80ies. Here they are just lethargic sheeple. Sad but true.

This would be a horrendous choice, and would set the nation back 50 years. Thailand needs youth, fresh energy, progressive ideas and someone capable of moving the nation forward. Not another stegosaurus. These creeps are very unpopular. They need to stop plaguing the nation with their toxic presence.
