I don’t want him anywhere NEAR Immigration, ever again. The so-called “culture of tips” is the only way I can continue to stay here.  The last thing Thailand needs is western-style “clean” policing.

Just because he was attached to a specific department, doesn't mean he must not do other policework...If he didn't do anything about other matters, he would be neglecting his duty...come on!  If you wish to make sweeping statements without solid evidence, best not say anything. Libel and defamation laws are just as potent here as in any country.

I don't think so.

When he was appointed head of CM Immigration some years ago he cleaned it up immediately.

Courtesy and efficiency prevailed as long as he was there.

After he left the situation reverted to status quo ante very quickly.

Accusations that he is “...no friend to Farang” are ridiculous and can’t be backed up in any credible way.

What can be remembered by CM expats are the significant improvements he made while he was in charge here.

It certainly made my visits to CM Immigration a lot less stressful.

I thought he seriously improved the problems at Chiangmai immigration which was awash with corrupt practices and a need to get there before the sparrows,

Sorry, you have to play by the rules as they stand. Big Joke made things up as he went along the same as ever.

Many want to defend Big Joke but nobody gets promoted that fast and then made inactive with nobody pulling his strings.
