Sanook Thai Caption: It's the Land of the Nagas

North easterners have called an area of Udon Thani known as Ban Chan sub-district to be renamed the "Land of the Nagas".

In five separate incidents house owners have spotted the unmistakeable sign of the divine in the shape of their bamboo growth.

Each time lottery riches came to the lucky ones.

The latest woman in Ban Dung district to find one was Kanitha, 47, who got out her praying kit lest the spirits look dimly on her pleas for increased wealth, reported Sanook.

She admitted that her Naga was a smaller of the genre but she was not going to miss out on winning today's draw.

She's advising 032 and 230 after expert analysis of the "normai".

Nope her Naga is useless. Didn't win.

There is a District in NE India already called Nagaland and officially so.  How wonderful to have so many (un)educated people!
