Which address should I use? Currernt rental Vs TM30

Recommended Posts

My current apartment isn't sophisticated enough to file my residence with the gov, so I had to book a hotel to get the info for TM30...

I'm not sure which address I should use when filing for my visa extension.

What do you all think?

[spoilers] I'm assuming the tm30 address

TM30

Also have screenshot of it.

What type of extension?

I got a visa exempt at the airport when entering. So, extending that

I have the screenshot and printout of the hotel screen.

Also, I've already signed up at a language school, and put in my paperwork to the MoE

So you are applying for 30 day extension.

Use your TM30 as mentioned earlier.

Added note: be aware that if obtaining your extension in Bangkok you will use Laski immigration, IT Mall, as you entered visa exempt.

There is nothing sophisticated about them completing a TM30 form that you can submit for them.

Thanks, Joe.

Question- the info in the form is for the house owner or the foreigner? I thought I would need the owners super secret info or something...

It for the owner or possessor that completes it. Your info would be put on page 2 of the form.

There is no secret info needed to complete form

If you have a rental agreement that makes you the possessor.

You should use the address you reside on. That´s the whole point and purpose with filing your address with immigration.

no, he should use whatever address is easiest and what gets him the extension. why create a rod for your own back by slavishly following the rules to the letter?

Correct

The cheapo hotel ruse seems ideal and keeps the photocopying folks one step away from your residence.

Never endured a communist regime so cant understand the slavish willingness to 'register' your whereabouts.

There are many TM30 topics, if dont mind i ask my question here.

I been staying at the same condo always and filing TM30.

Recently i was away from country about 6 months and entered with TR and asked landlord to file a TM30.

Now i did a border run and returned with visa exempt to the same address, do i need to make TM30 again?

In Bkk.

Yes

You will need it if you want to apply for a 30 days extension.

Thanks Joe.

I guess ive been lucky before. I have filed it when ive been away months, but have forgotten to make it few times after short trips and not had problem getting an extension. Both for TR and Exempt.
