Small Home-based Webdesign Office

Recommended Posts

Hi :o

I'm a professional webdesigner, married to a Thai girl and living in Thailand.

I would like to start a small home-based WebDesign service, just to earn some extra money.

Can somebody tell a business Newbie what to do, to make this happen

as cheap as possible but 100% legally.

- Registration and costs?

- Work permit?

- Taxes?

I don't mind if I'm not the owner of the business.

It can be on my Thai wife's name if that is a cheaper/better way to do this.

Could she hire me as an employee in that case??

Thanks,

to register a sole proprietorship cost 50 baht....2 business registration offices that i know of are on ratchadaphisek road and srinakarin road.

taxes only have to be reported if you are making over 3000 baht per month.

work permit is the hard part, the sponsoring company has to have a certain amount of money in the million baht range per foreign worker.

but theoretically if you are making sites for companies/people in countries other than thailand, i dont see how anyone would know.

Wife made me a Director in her Landry business in Samut Prakan about 5 years or so ago and fortunately I have never as yet had to do any ironing. :D

A couple of months ago she gave yet another "Condo "book" in my name and when I asked her when we bought that one she just said...dont you remember...???......but ...mpr

Sounds like a hint to get her nieces/workers ...sorry my fellow directors together for the AGM some Wednesday down at the Londoner........they "dig" the music :o

Usually its a good night since only "Ting" is allowed to drink which saves me a fortune ...Bit of bubbly or rather Heine for the shareholders .and its buy..1 get 1 free... :D ....the fun of international commerce......

Thanks for helping me guys :o

But isn't there an easy way to get a work permit for myself?

It would be small and simple home based business.

I just would like to make sure everything is setup legally,

so I don't get any troubles with the immigration office.

1 Million bath seems to much for this kind of business.
