Doctor and daughter send call center gang 100 million baht - all they needed to do was hang up!

Siam Rath reported that a retired doctor in southern Thailand and her daughter parted with more than 100 million baht after they believed they were being investigated for sending a package containing an illegal item.

Police donate 8 million baht to victims of NE Thailand massacre

RTP spokesman Pol Maj-Gen Achayon Kraithong revealed that the police chief Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat had set up a fund called "Kind Police for the victims in Uthai Thani, Nong Bualamphu" following last week's massacre, reported INN.

Mental Health Dept. MCAT teams to closely supervise Nong Bua Lamphu families for 2 weeks

BANGKOK (NNT) - Mental health professionals have now been dispatched to remain at the side of families of victims of last week’s mass shooting in Nong Bua Lamphu. The Mobile Community Assertive Treatment teams (MCATTs) will deliver mental health care to those who lost loved ones for at least 3 months. The Department of Mental Health (DMH), meanwhile, aims to expand its care to include people who live in the locality affected by the tragedy.

8.6m meth pills seized by police in northern Thailand in just 3 days

Thai police seized 8.6 million methamphetamine tablets and five vehicles and arrested four suspects in three interceptions in the northern provinces of Lampang and Phrae between October 5th and 7th, said Pol Lt-Gen Piya Tavichai, commissioner of Region 5 Provincial Police Bureau, at a news conference today (Monday).
