Police seize fake US dollar banknotes worth 34-million baht in Nonthaburi

 

Thai police seized counterfeit US banknotes, with a face value of about 34 million baht, and arrested two suspects in Nonthaburi yesterday (Monday), in a joint operation carried out by police from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) and the US secret service attached to the US Embassy in Bangkok.

Thaksin suggests 3-months amnesty to register illegal arms in order to tackle excessive supply of guns in Thailand

Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra came out to suggest that the government of 2014 coup leader and incumbent Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, should tackle unregistered guns floating around in Thailand by giving a 3-month grace period to register or else face stiff fines, a move that would help make the country safer.

It comes after last week’s warning from the former Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dr Kobsak Pootrakool (right) 

 

Plans announced by the Bank of Thailand to issue guidance to financial institutions in the opening quarter of 2023 on reining in excessive consumer lending for foreign holidays and expensive smartphones to tackle Thailand’s ฿15 trillion in household debt, 35% of which is credit card borrowing.

Thai Health Ministry starts vaccinating children from six months to four years
