Limited impacts expected on Thailand from three tropical depressions and a cyclone

Three tropical depressions detected in the South China Sea and a cyclone in the Andaman Sea will have limited impacts on Thailand, according to Chawalit Chantararat, an expert from the TEAM Group.

 

He said that the first tropical depression, expected in make landfall in Da Nang in Vietnam tomorrow (Saturday), will bring moderate rain and isolated heavy showers to Thailand’s north-eastern region, eastern coast, Bangkok and its surroundings.

 

The second tropical storm, anticipated from October 17th to 19th, will not enter Thailand and the third will not make landfall. The cyclone, detected in the Andaman Sea, may bring moderate rain to the southern region, according to the expert.

That's in line with forecasts from misc weather services.

Little to no rain over the next days except for the south.

Cross your fingers that the worst of rainy season is over!

So more rain in the North East will have a limited impact... as if the need even the slightest drop of more rain.

I'm in Kalasin Province where there has been steady and moderate rain all night which is expected to continue for most of the day. As a Brit it makes me feel quite at home. I've even had to put a shirt on as it's decidedly chilly for Thailand with an expected high of 22.

Drizzle here BUT bloody cold!

Max temperature might be 20 C (68 F) today.
