FORMER national police chief Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temeiwes, who is the leader of Seri Ruam Thai Party, said Mr. Srisuwan Chanya, secretary-general of the Association for the Protection of the Thai Constitution, being punched and kicked Tuesday (Oct. 18) should be considered an attempt to teach him a lesson as it would come under the category of violence if a stick, knife or pistol had been used, Sanook.com said.

An upbeat Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy on Tuesday welcomed the official announcement that Seattle-based AWS was setting up its regional operations in Thailand

 

There is no doubt that the US firm’s investment in Thailand through a new subsidiary firm is good news which will see Thailand become a hub for cloud-based internet services throughout Southeast Asia while also improving the digital infrastructure for local internet firms and digital startups.

Minor conflicts producing the kind of reaction seen over the past few days in Thailand shows that the country has yet to overcome minuscule challenges in its quest for “freedom”.

Hospital reports spike in RSV cases among children

Chiang Mai struck by 4.1 magnitude earthquake Thursday morning

Thailand’s northern province of Chiang Mai was struck by an earthquake of 4.1 magnitude on the Richter scale, at 4.36am this morning (Thursday). It was the strongest quake in the province in recorded history.  Tremors were felt in the two neighbouring provinces of Lamphun and Phayao, according to the Thai Meteorological Department.
