ANG THONG, Oct 25 (TNA) – Floods remain deep in the Central Plain and the Northeast and many households have to take shelter.

Flooding has remained critical in Ang Thong province. Volunteers and rescue workers from other provinces make meals at Wat Pho Rat for flood victims in Pho Thong and Chai Yo districts, parts of which were more than two meters underwater.

In Kosum Phisai district of Maha Sarakham, the Chi River overflowed to Ban Non Nok Hor and Ban Non Suwan villages which have been flooded for nearly two weeks.

Northeast = Isaan?

Isaan/Isan is bigger in area than England.

Of course only certain parts flooded.

No floods here and never been (picture from this morning):

Our local river burst it's banks a few weeks ago and shows no sign of getting lower because of upstream run off.

First time in 14 years that I have been here in Isaan, near Yasothon.

7 years and I still get confused.  Ubon and Nong Khai in the same "area," in an article, but not in my mind.   Mukdahan and Si Sa Ket not same same in falang head, but Essan!!!!

Note:  I have been in the North so long I think BKK is South, not central.  Sorry to the falangs in Phuket.
