Soi Dog Foundation has this month provided over 210 tons of food to more than 26,000 animals displaced by severe flooding in the provinces of Sing Buri, Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi, Ubon Ratchathani, Sukhothai, and Ang Thong.

Thanks to a generous response to their urgent appeal, the foundation has been able to deliver a total of 7,750 bags of dog food and 2,785 bags of cat food to the six affected provinces so far, and they are delivering more by the day.

While locals in some areas have been able to collect the food for their animals from their local subdistrict administrative organization (AorBorTor), the foundation and AorBorTor have had to deliver food to others by boat, including to stranded animals.

Why not send a donation? I am sure that the kids will appreciate it.

What a waist of money.

Not even the "owners" of these dogs buy dogfood.  There left to scrounge around and fend for themselves.

They'll be a lot of donated bags of dogfood available for sale on Facebook marketplace and in the ma and pa corner shops trying to make a buck.

Soi dogs.

Fabulous.

This is very good ,as every animal has a right to live even stray dogs and stray cats.

Because someone will embezzle it, they cannot be trusted.

What about all the starving children of the world who don't have clean water or food to eat,  they don't count.

Do-gooders of this world should be ashamed of themselves some times.

Blabla ... far too many people already in this world ... why don't you go and help them ?

Right.  They should be focused on eliminating these disease ridden animals.  They won't because most Thais believe in reincarnation and maybe they will come back as a dog.  The stupidity that goes on Pattaya on releasing dogs after they have been neutered tells you all you need to know.

So, for your own comfort, not every animal has a right to live then?

I always treat animals with respect but not mosquitos, can you say the same?

All this food will then be converted to <deleted> and strewn about the sois of Thailand to spread further disease.  Why can't these brainless twits see that prolonging the suffering of these animals is cruelty not kindness. I squirm when I see temples dripping with gold feeding strays whilst their supporters and their kids go hungry.

Vertebrate wildlife populations across the globe have dropped dramatically over the past 50 years, according to a new World Wildlife Fund (WWF) report, published last week. Between 1970 and 2018, populations declined an average of 69 percent, the researchers say.

You are talking nonsense...we do not eat wildlife very much, nearly all is raised for consumption. No shortages of domesticated animals, ask McD and KFC... so put that silly strawman away!

Animals are animals, they all have the same rights, that is if you listen to some of the animal lovers here who eat them!

I don't hate animals and don't eat them, however I hate soi dogs and think the country would be a better and safer place if they were all eliminated, and NOT fed.

That's so strange, I cannot find domestic cattle on WWF endangered species lists and I no longer eat Gorilla.
