Import tax and RHD vehicles does limit things.  Thankfully China has the advantage there.

Most of those "Charging Stations" are proposed stations.

 

Perhaps a hybrid would be more suitable for myself. 

 

I definitely don't need to be stranded somewhere in Issan without a charge!

Think you need a better map & measuring stick.  You'll get 250 kms range with MG ZS or EP, and that will get you anywhere you need to go, with CSs much closer than your 300 kms guesstimate.

Can't deviate your trip.  

 

You'll run out of juice.

 

Until there's more electric stations I wouldn't bother.

 

Also MG's are Chinese produced now so I wouldn't touch that brand.

 

Stick with a hybrid or regular fuel unless you only want to drive one route.

 

If you think it's your thing by all means get one.

 

But I honestly wouldn't until things improve, especially with only a few chargers available in most provinces. Also the ones at Sakon Nakhon Robinsons we're out of service yesterday. Nightmare scenario for the odd Issan electric vehicle owner.

The whole green industry is a facade of false benefits and calculations.

The emissions to manufacture and operate during an expected life cycle are more than conventional vehicles.

 

Even if their was some economical  efficiency to be had there is not a single country that has the infrastructure to supply the anticipated maximum demand load.

 

This is exactly what happens when fashionable naive politics makes decisions not backed by fact, science or engineering.

 

The only reason the green energy industry currently survives is because of government incentives and grants.

Looks great if you want to average about 60km/h. And even less for the waiting time to charge.

 

Talk about going back 30 years in time. Similar to swapping our current PC’s for a Commodore 64 and saying how great it is.

And that’s exactly the biggest problem in these debates which goes against the fundamentals of all science.

The pro side wants their opinions to be believed due the the brainwashing of extremists views that unless we do as they want, the world will end.
