November 22, 20223 yr Popular Post The Supreme Court on Tuesday cleared the way for the Internal Revenue Service to release former President Donald Trump’s tax returns to a Democratic-led House committee. The court’s move is a major loss for Trump, who has sought to shield the release of his tax returns for years and is currently under multiple investigations. There were no noted dissents. https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/22/politics/supreme-court-clears-way-for-house-to-get-trumps-taxes/index.html

November 22, 20223 yr Popular Post Scott that's surprising - I'd thought that Trump had engineered a Supreme Court to favour him ? "There were no noted dissents" - it appears that his Nominees turned against him ?
November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post I don't understand how not providing tax returns prior to being considered to run for POTUS is even possible. Aren't finances part of a background check?

November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post Remind me, didn’t Trump make a campaign promise to release his taxes?
November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post All Presidents since Jimmy Carter voluntarily released their tax returns as a tradition of transparency. Trump has been asked to release his tax returns since 2016 and fought against releasing it up to the supreme court and failed. Just what is he hiding?

It shouldn't be voluntary, it should be a prerequisite to be a candidate.
November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post Donald Trump reported losses on his tax returns every year for a decade, including nearly $700 million in 2009 and $200 million in 2010, his longtime accountant testified Tuesday, confirming long-held suspicions about the former president’s tax practices. https://apnews.com/article/business-new-york-manhattan-donald-trump-896e245936aaf71d26b1c29c0070c8eb?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=TopNews&utm_campaign=position_05

The dem controlled house is there until January so they will get hold of them before they leave - enough time to look at some of the headlining items, and then the tax returns are a matter of record and so will be used as a stick to beat Donald during the campaign for the 2024 presidency

It's too late then. They lie "As soon as the auditors are done I'll release my taxes" and idiots swallow that. Compulsory is the way to go. There's also the matter of whose pocket are they in?

How can you be unaware that Trump never released his tax returns, and is not legally required to do so unless it is part of a criminal investigation or unless it serves a "legitimate legislative purpose". I am not aware of any government background check on Presidential candidates.

So they're basically out there.

Since Donald Dump has a propensity to stretch the law beyond it's legal limits, I can't help but imagine there are plenty of skeletons in Dump's tax closet.

November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post Sounds like some of our local DT fans have not heard of him stonewalling his tax returns, maybe they don't mention it on Fox/OAN/RT? He has been saying "I'm being audited, I'm not allowed to talk about it" since 2015. And we all know it's bs.
November 23, 20223 yr Popular Post but but but he told everyone over and over and over that he is very very very rich....then for years he sends out emails to his cult begging for money......and of course he sucks millions upon millions more from his cult members who don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that he is a con man and they are being conned....amazing ignorance.....so now if his returns show he pays no taxes will that even register with the cult or will they claim it's all fake news, witch hunt, political, conspiracy theory, hillary or hunter stole all his money and forged his tax returns?
