Daily News Thai Caption: Loud screams!

Daily News reported that a crocodile trainer was bitten on the right hand in full view of startled tourists at a show in Beung Boraphet, Muang district of Nakhon Sawan, northern Thailand yesterday afternoon.

It was the last show of the day and two crocs called Fak Thong and Cola were the stars.

Experienced trainer Sumeth, 51, was just concluding the show with a "superman" move when Cola decided enough was enough.

The trainer was bitten on the right hand drawing blood and shrieks from the many tourists and children in attendance.

The trainer's experience meant he was able to get away without further injury but he still required ten stitches in a wound that will cost 30,000 baht to put right.

It was not Sumeth's first brush with croc trouble - six years ago one broke his arm.

"Quick, get me a band-aid and make it snappy!"

Video or it didn't happen.

hahaha there is a vid of a place like this and you can hear the announcer....

number 1 in thailand....chomp.

Been to this show a number of times just for the kids. Excruciatingly loud speakers playing the as always’ the Final Countdown.

Most of the show is egging the crowd on with little croc stunts, otherwise he may have got chomped more often.

Not sure, but hell of a job, can barely notice the scar.

4 days in hospital, not one of my favourite experiences in Thailand.

Here's the video that is at the bottom of the Daily News article:

Fast forward to the 2:00 minute mark.

Lucky he never had his head in there ????

I guess it comes with the territory. Hopefully he gets paid well, but when you try to play with wild animals like they’re your pets unfortunately you’re going to learn the hard way that they don’t give a rats ass about your little tricks. It happens all the time so it’s not like they don’t know the risks. He was lucky it was just his hand this time.

Girlfriend bites me like that all the time. She calls it a "love bite". So far no need for stitches.

Final Score:

Crocodile 1

Trainer     0

Well deserved.

Cruel treatment of animals.

Surely he was covered for insurance???? and on another topic if one is covered in the local hosptial and the facilities not enough to treat a patient and if transferred to another hospital who has the facilities then even if Thais they presented with a huge bill.
I know someone who had this and my wife told me about it.

Croc 1-0 Idiot.

He got what he deserved.

Inserting your hand in a crocs mouth while wearing underpants on the outside.

I thought it was falling off a horse but it's getting bitten, apparently.

I wonder how much a farang would have been charged, just shows you again the greed of the medical profession in Thailand.
