timoti
Hi, I just went to pattaya immigration and they told me they want blue book, owner's id card, rental contract. When i did the same thing a few months ago, they didn't ask why of these other than just filling the standard form. Did they change the requirements for extensions? Thanks in advance. ubonjoe
That is not really a new requirement if staying in a private residence.

I am surprised last time they didn't ask. But now they are giving the same requirements papers to everyone.
NativeBob
isn't it a little bit excessive for 30 days extension? I rented house for 15+ years and haven't seen any of these papers from our owner/landlord [in Bangkok]

And they gave me a new form to be filled by owner.
thaibeachlovers
Is that a requirement if a tourist staying in an hotel on a tourist visa?

Rental contract - just print whatever you find on the Internet, but blue book and Thai ID would be hard to get - thais don't like extra publicity, esp. when they happily evading taxes they ought to pay from rental payments: Income tax on rental and VAT = quite big piece of pie.
