If you are interested, I can ask my wife for the exact court case ruling number and you can print it out and take it to your bank.

Gentle reminder, still waiting for the court ruling.

  • A bank is a private company and can set any policy for their premises that they want.   I really don't get the people who still stubbornly refuse to adhere to simple conventions.

Having said that, individual bank branches are free to serve or not serve whoever they want for whatever reason they want.

  • So where a mask while in your bank. Is that a big problem?

It seems to be a bit of a trend after the viral video of the uncle on the sky train. A bus conductor told me to wear a mask today so I said 'mai mee' so she went away, came back and gave me one, to which I replied 'mai aow'. She rolled her eyes at another passenger but then left me alone.

It's definitely not the law so i assume there's a little online movement to try to get these filthy farangs into line. Best just to ignore them if you can. The law is on your side.

your arrogance and sense of entitlement does you no credit.

IMHO I did set a good example by politely declining to be bossed around by someone making up their own rules without any authority

well then, congratulations on your petty victory.

when i read people like you, i always wonder if they actually reacted as they claimor if they are just indulging some miity-esque fantasy.

I suspect the latter

Yup, because there is a connection.

Japan is an inhumane and unnatural society, most likely the worst in the world (together with China).

Robots, their weird porns and the low birth rate are as well symptoms of this broken society as the delusional mask-wearing.

Completely detached from nature.

Racist much ??....

I doubt you’ve ever even been to Japan...

When in rome, do as the romans do, this is not your country so i suggest you follow their rules. If you cant follow, then get out of thailand. Putting on a mask will not kill you nor will you lose a strand of hair. Self entitled pr!ck

Well, fortunately here in "Rome" (actually Bangkok) the rules do not require masks to be worn and I've been pleasantly surprised to see lots of Thais and foreigners not wearing them!  Not sure, it's being abusive helps your case.

A bank is a private institution where they can set their own rules. Its not your house nor do you own the bank.
It also amazes me how people cannot comply to a simple request, is putting on a mask so difficult? If its that difficult, probably move to the states

Sure. If an institution wants me to wear a mask, remove my crash helmet, or wear a shirt I will do it, or take my business elsewhere.  I have no desire to ever go to the "states" (if you mean the USA).  Fortunately, there are hardly any institutions in Thailand that still require a mask, even the bank in the original post!
