Re-Entry Permit at Chaeng Wattana (CW) - Do not queue for confirmed online appointments

A week ago, I made an online appointment (https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131) to get a re-entry permit at CW. My confirmed appointment was at 10:40am today and I arrived at 10:20am. I went to the Queue Counter at the entrance of Immigration 1 and was given a queue ticket (No.120). I proceeded to the C2 booths and there was a huge crowd. The queue was running at No. 86, meaning I have to wait for another 34 applicants to be processed!

Then I noticed that one of the booths (No. 6) had dimmed its LED signboard but the IO was standing there. I then went over to the IO and told her that I have an appointment and showed her my confirmed appointment email. She immediately sat me down and processed my application. It took just like 5 minutes and she told me to wait as my name would be called soon. I waited like 10 minutes and sure enough, my name was called and I collected my passport with the stamped re-entry. All in all it took me 20 minutes from start to finish.

So...if you have a confirmed appointment, do not get a queue number. Just proceed to C2 and see an officer and show him/her your appointment slip.
