The question has arisen as to whether Dave Chappelle is funny.

It might even be illegal for Musk to stop his staff doing volunteer work outside their contracted hours.

There is a big difference from volunteering to undertake extra duties for another company and not getting paid and volunteering for for a request from Elon to carry out duties for normal or overtime pay. Do you really think they were doing it for nothing in another company away from their normal workplace...........lol

 Musk says he only asked Twitter employees to work on a voluntary basis. You think maybe that an employee might consider it dangerous to his job  to say no to work that would fiscally help their desperately in need employer.

 

And you were working at a charitable organization that had no connection to your employment. You don't see the relevant difference?

 

And this is assuming that Musk is telling the truth about them being part time. And what contract is there at Telsa that specifies employee hours? Is that the kind of work environment Musk is known for promoting?

As long as it was Twitter paying them and not Tesla, would that be illegal? Again, I've worked 2 jobs at the same time before. Lot's of people do a second job in the evenings or weekends. It would depend if this was banned in their Tesla contracts. Have you seen the contracts? If so, please post a link.

What's more, Musk authorized employees from his other ventures to work at Tesla? Why is authorization necessary if this is strictly voluntary? Do his employees need authorization to work at an animal shelter?

I'm saying we don't know what's in their contract about taking second jobs, and we don't know if they are getting paid for it and if so, who is paying them.

Yes if there was a clause in my contract that stated I needed approval to take a second job then that would apply. If you have links to show the Tesla employees have such a clause in their contracts please provide them. Also, please provide links that prove that if such a clause exists, that they weren't given such approval by Tesla.
