An intoxicated tourist was safely taken back to his accommodation after falling off his motorbike and blacking out in the middle of a Pattaya road.

 

Sawang Boriboon rescuers who aided the drunken man said the tourist was Finnish without revealing his name. The tourist was found a little past midnight in Soi Khao Talo in the Nongprue subdistrict, Chonburi’s Banglamung district on December 18th.

 

The tourist’s motorbike and he were sprawled on the road. Without injuries, the Finnish tourist emitted a pungent smell of booze, according to rescuers, and he was unconscious. The rescuers gave him ammonia to sniff to clear his head and escorted him off the road. They then took the man to his place safely.

Lucky guy.. if it were anywhere else he would be facing a driving suspension and possibly jail time

I'm yet to meet a finish man who's NOT intoxicated, those guys can drink anyone under the table...

Taken safely back to his accommodation? ???? Only in Thailand. If he was in Oz he would've been locked up for DUI, facing a few thousand dollar fine and the loss of licence for at least 12-18 months.

It's got to be tough living in the country deemed to be "The happiest" for the past five years ????‍♂️

It is good that they took care of him, but I am more inclined to say he should have sobered up in the cells and been charged with drink driving or something.

In cases like this, I am all for saying he has to go to hospital for a 24 hour 'watch' period and a sobering 40,000 baht bill

this just confirms to me that Thailand authority do not give a ## about drunk driving, this idiot should be delt with severely - deported and blacklisted but hey he was only drunk driving, lets see in the next few days how many die on the roads here............................this country is ## , deaths on the roads over the last 20 years has got worse........and what genius has been in charge of road safety...................the watch man Prawit, what a performance.......deaths
